Thompson Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home
Nappanee, IN 46550-1002

We are part of your community. Linda and I grew up in the Nappanee/Wakarusa area and are graduates of Northwood High School.

While working part-time in the funeral home business during my high school years, I quickly discovered the direction my future would take. After graduating from Indiana College of Mortuary Science in 1973, I joined the Wright Yoder Funeral Home. Although we moved to Delphi, Indiana, in 1976, where I remained in the funeral home business, we always had a strong desire to come back home, and that we did in 1983 when we returned to Nappanee and purchased what is now the Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home. In 1998 we built our second funeral home in Wakarusa.

We are committed to our community. I am currently serving my fourth term as mayor of the City of Nappanee, am involved with Kiwanis and the American Red Cross and have served on the Nappanee Fire Department, Nappanee Park Department and Wa-Nee Community Schools Board of Education. Linda’s outside interests include Psi Iota Xi sorority and the Nappanee Home & Garden Club.

Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home is truly a family owned and operated business. Our daughter Tara Lengacher and her husband Jody, as well as our son Patrick, help us to continue the Thompson tradition of providing the best in funeral services for our community. Tara and Jody graduated from Worsham College of Mortuary Science and Patrick from Mid-America College of Funeral Service.

Like you, we appreciate having good neighbors we can trust. We have built our reputation on the trust of friends and neighbors who have turned to us for sound advice and personal funeral services at the passing of a loved one. You can depend on Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Homes to be there for you and your family in your time of need.
