Dorothy Brumbaugh, age 92, of Greencroft Healthcare, Goshen, formerly of Nappanee, died at 11:36 am, Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at Greencroft Healthcare. She was born on February 5, 1918 in Stumptown, IN to Mervin and Goldie (Fox) Frenger. She lived in the Nappanee area all of her life. She had worked at Evangel Press and also at Amish Acres in the gift shop.
Mrs. Brumbaugh is survived by a son, Sam (Mary Lou) Brumbaugh of Goshen, and a daughter, Nancy (Darrell) Thornton of Plainfield, IN. A Grandson, Todd Thornton of Bremen, IN, A Granddaughter, Missy (Tim) Risser of Goshen, and 3 Great Grandchildren, Dylan, Drake and Sage Risser, all of Goshen. She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, Don and Harold Frenger.
Friends may call Thursday, August 26 from 2-4, 6-8 at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home in Wakarusa. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 27 at 11:00 am at Turkey Creek Church of the Brethren. Rev. Roger Eberly, pastor of Turkey Creek Church of the Brethren will officiate. Burial will be in New Paris Cemetery.
