Life Legacy
Everett J. Rummel, 86, of 66154 C.R. 21, Goshen, died at 5:05 a.m. Tuesday (March 16, 2010), at Goshen General Hospital.
He was born June 24, 1923, in Untion Township to Emery and Dora Clay Rummel. On Sept. 28, 1947, he married Laura Jane Brown.
He was a lifetime Nappanee area resident. He was a member of Living Gospel Church, where he was a deacon and active in Sunday School.
Mr. Rummel is survived by his wife; son David Rummel of Elkhart; daughters Cindy Stark of Elkhart, Sharee Lynch of Scottsdale, AZ., and Kim Thomas of Fresno, CA.; grandchildren Jessica and Justin Thomas, Michilah (Karl) Miller, Chori Rummel and Brandon (Alli) Rummel; sister Berniece Rummel of South Bend, and Eleanor Rummel of Nappanee. He was preceded in death by sisters Agnes, Francis, Maxine and Violet, and brothers Ralph and Paul.
Friends may call at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, and one hour prior to the 11 a.m. service Friday. Burial will be in Union Center Cemetery.
