Biography

Samuel J. Hochstetler, age 85, Nappanee, died at 4:45 am, Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Elkhart General Hospital after a short illness.

He was born February 15, 1927 in Nappanee to Joseph and Mary Yoder Hochstetler.
Mr. Hochstetler had worked at Slabaugh Tiling and Hochstetler Grain. He was a member of Living Gospel Church.

Surviving are sisters, Anna Mast, Nappanee and Amanda Yoder, Sarasota, FL, a brother, Levi Hochstetler, Nappanee, 17 nephews and 19 nieces, also many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Elizabeth Yoder, Sarah Mast, and Edna Hochstetler, and brothers, Eli and Harvey Hochstetler.

Family and friends may call Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee and for 1 hour prior to funeral services which will be at 10:00 am, Friday, March 30, 2012 at Living Gospel Church. Rev. Mike Raasch and Rev. David Soliday will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Lawn Cemetery.
