Biography

Carolyn S. Huff, Nappanee, age 68, died Tuesday, April 3, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka at 3:05 p.m.

She was born April 14, 1943 in Nappanee, to Dewey and Marilyn Stump Hall. She was an area lifetime resident, and enjoyed flowers. She had worked at Bonacori’s Grocery Store, JB’s Soda Shop, and Vasco in Nappanee. Carolyn married Lavern Jay Huff on October 19, 1963 at the First Church of God in Nappanee.

He survives, along with daughter, Cheryl Huff, Rochester; son, Curtis “Jay” (Jill) Huff, Fort Myers, FL; grandchildren, Sarah (Danny) Hawkins, Nappanee, Brant Gibson, Nappanee; great grandson, Gavin Hawkins; brother Mike (Marcia) Hall, Goshen; sisters Rhonda (Don) Dunsworth, FL, Jill (Chris) Hawkins, Candy (Jim) Wolfe, both of Goshen; and sister-in-law Beth Hall, Elkhart; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Tim Hall, and her parents.

Friends and family may call on Friday, April 6, from 2-4 and 6-8 at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee. Funeral services will be on Saturday, at 10:30 am at First Church of God in Nappanee. Pastor Sam Bennett will lead the service, and burial will follow at Union Center Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Diabetes Association.
