Biography
Fern Iris Yoder, age 93, of 1683 Plymouth-Goshen Trail, Bremen, died at 9:25 pm, Monday, April 9, 2012 at Bremen Community Hospital, where she had been admitted earlier in the day. Fern was born December 30, 1918 in Elkhart to Charles and Nora Weaver Goss. She married William Haskell Yoder December 24, 1944 in Bremen. He preceded in death August 21, 2003. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Bremen.
Surviving are sons, Roland (Rita) Yoder, Howard (Laurie) Yoder, and James (Sandra) Yoder, all of Bremen, a daughter, Marilyn (Dennis) Easton, Osceola, grandchildren, Damien and Ben Yoder, Joel, Jessica, and Julia Easton, and Angie, Jacob, and Mitchel Yoder, great grandsons, Caleb and Evan Yoder, brothers, Charles (Edna) Goss, Jr, Matuhn, IL, Melvin (Janice) Goss, Nappanee, and sisters, Naomi (Wayne) Weldy, Winona Lake, and Pearl (Carlyle) Chupp, Nappanee. She was preceded in death by a brother, Willard Goss, Sister, Virginia Pletcher, and a great grandson, Jared Yoder.
Family and friends may call 2-7 Thursday at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee and for 1 hour prior to the funeral service which will be at 10:30 am, Friday, April 13, 2012 at First Baptist Church in Bremen (414 E. Lincoln St.). Rev. Ben Hammond will officiate and burial will be in South Union Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be given to First Baptist Church.
