Robert Allen Waters Sr., age 76,Nappanee, died at 8:15 am, Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at his residence from Pancreatic Cancer. He was born July 30, 1935 in Champaign, IL to Clarence A. and D. Faye Baumann Waters. He was a 1953 graduate of Nappanee High School. He married Virginia Ellen Lemler June 13, 1953 in Plymouth. Mr. Waters had worked in the Kitchen Industry at Mutschler Kitchens for 28 years, Nappanee Wood Products for 6 years, and Bremtown Kitchens for 13 years before retiring. He was a member of First Church of God, CKD (Certified Kitchen Designers) and ASID (American Society Interior Decorators).

Mr. Waters is survived by his wife, Virginia, a son, Robert A. (Jeanette D.)Waters Jr. and a daughter, Vivian L. (Gary D.) Hughes, both of Nappanee, grandchildren, Paula S. Waters, Amanda J. (Peter D.) Wells, both of South Bend, Gary D. Hughes Jr., Elizabeth A. Waters, and Victoria M. Hughes, all of Nappanee, and Amy M. Hughes, Denver, CO, 11 great grandchildren, and a sister, Zelma L. Hartman of Norfolk, VA. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Steven Lamar Waters, a granddaughter, Christina L. Hughes, and a brother-in-law, Gerald Hartman.

Family and friends may call from 1-3 and 6-8 Sunday (April 22) at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee and Monday for 1 hour prior to the 10:30 am service at New Paris Church of the Brethren. Rev. Stan Godfrey will officiate assisted by Rev. Robert Fields. Burial will be in Bremen Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to New Paris Church of the Brethren.
