Life Legacy
Bernardino Cortés-Hernandez, Nappanee, age 54, died Wed at 3:21 p.m. at his home from natural causes. He was born Sept. 28, 1957 in Huautli, Hgo, Mexico to Leobardo Cortés and Agustina Hernandez.
He moved to Nappanee from Mexico 8 years ago. He enjoyed flowers and spending time with his family, especially his grandson, Enrique Michael Cortés. He also enjoyed attending church and visiting with his church friends. He married Consuelo Malanco Escalante in 1984.
She survives, along with sons, Enrique (Holly Earl) Cortés Malanco, Nappanee, Alfredo Cortés Malanco, Joel (Chriz) Cortés Malanco, both of Pachuca, Hgo, MX; 3 granchildren; and siblings, Guadalupe, Pedro, Roberto, and Eustorgio Cortés, all of Pachuca, Hgo, MX. Cremation will take place and there will be a memorial service on Fri, Apr 20, at Iglesia de Cristo Vino Nuevo (301 N. Elm St, Nappanee) at 6:30 p.m. Pastor Angel Lopez will officiate.
