Biography

Lloyd L. Wise, Nappanee, age 83, died on Sat, Apr. 28 at 4:00 p.m. at Courtyard Nursing Home in Goshen, where he had been since September. He was born on May 31, 1928 to Lewis and Carrie (Lechlitner) Wise in Oak Grove, IN. He had been a lifetime area resident. Lloyd worked in construction and carpentry, and retired from Newmar Corp. in Nappanee. He married Anna Mae Middaugh on Mar. 26, 1949 in Nappanee, and she preceded him in death on Sept. 5, 2011.

Surviving are daughters, Gloria (Jack) Hamman of Leesburg and Sue (Duane) Moneyheffer of Nappanee; 5 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death are sisters, Joy Badke, Anna Snyder, Mary Wise, and Brother Norris Wise.

Friends and family may call on Tues from 2-4 & 6-8 at Thompson-Lengacher & Yoder Funeral Home, Nappanee. The funeral service will be on Wed, at 11 am, also at the funeral home. Pastors Duane Moneyheffer and Tom Scheifer will officiate. Burial will follow at Bremen Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be given to Alzheimer’s Association or IU Health Goshen Home Care and Hospice.
